Join Stanley Thompson Society Members at Kawartha Golf and Country Club on August 9th, for the third Stanley Thompson Series Event of 2021!
Kawartha was built when Canadian General Electric company purchased the land in ’31 for $15,000 and in spite of the economic ravages of the ‘30’s , nine holes were completed with the other nine holes added in ’38. Kawartha is an anglicized word from the Anishinaabe first nations language and is said to mean “bright waters and happy lands.”**
