Our classical Devereaux Emmet- A.W. Tillinghast course sits on 150 rolling acres winding through the woods and natural rock formations of an old Revolutionary War encampment. The closing holes are set along, or over, the Sheldrake River , on a landscape enhanced by, in the New York Times' words, a "verdant palette of a dozen hues, from the deep emerald of fir trees to the pale jade of the willows." This course was renovated in 1936 by the firm of Thompson & Jones when RT Jones was a partner of Stanley Thompson.
