The Thompson Society Passport Program

We are pleased to announce the Stanley Thompson Passport Program for the 2012 golf season.

The Society has been working on this initiative for some time and we are excited to have 20 Thompson Member Clubs participating in this initial year.

Thompson Society Passport 2012The Program is designed to allow Society Friend (individual member) and Corporate Members the opportunity to play many of the finest Canadian Thompson-designed courses.

The program’s basic rules of play:

  • Only Passport holders may participate in the Program;
  • Friends and Corporate Members of the Society will receive a
    complementary Passport;
  • you may only play one round at each of the 20 participating
    clubs, during the 2012 golf season;
  • you will book tee times directly with the participating clubs;
  • all tee times will be at the discretion of the club and, in most cases, there will be restrictions (time of day, or day of the week);
    • you will be responsible to pay the related green fees; most of the participating clubs will be offering a preferred guest rate.

Have your friends become a Friend

Only Passport holders may participate in the Program (ie. you may not take a guest who does not have a Passport).

We encourage you to get your spouse/your friends/your business associates to join the Stanley Thompson Society, receive a Passport; and enjoy, with you, great golf on some of the top courses in Canada.

For the annual membership fee of $80, a "Friend of the Society" Member will receive a Passport which we expect will become the ‘must have’ for golfers in Canada. Attached is the application form to join the Society. Please forward this email, and the form to your friends.

Receipt of your passport

In the second week of May, you will receive by mail your Passport. Please do not attempt to contact the participating clubs until your Passport arrives. Following is a list of the 2012 participating clubs. It’s time to start planning your golf season.

Expansion and feedback

We will expand the number of participating clubs in future years; and make whatever refinements are necessary to ensure that the program operates effectively for the participating clubs and Society members. We would appreciate your feedback
